The Hong Kong Government is currently raising the development of six major industries where “Creative Services” is, amongst the six, heavily supported. In view of this, we hope to discover more creative talents for our industry through FWTA.
FWTA is a 3-in-1 competition that combines Fashion Design, Image Styling and Fashion Photography. As we may aware, even the most beautiful products created by the best Fashion Designer cannot be a success without the support of styling and the interpretation of a Photographer. The excitement of this competition will not only showcase fashion in itself, but it will also provide a true working environment for the entrants to experience teamwork, conflict and compromise.

Through the FWTA initiative, we are aiming to achieve three goals:

1. To discover more up-and-coming talents, develop their career path in order to assist the transformation of apparel enterprises and to support the sustainable and competitive growth of the fashion industry.
2. To help the general public understand the fashion industry through a television series.
3. To appreciate the difference in background and culture in the fashion world between Mainland China and Hong Kong so to prepare fashioners for business development and alliances in the future between the two places.

The first ever FWTA will be a competition between entrants from Hong Kong and Mainland China. In the future we hope to expand this event to the Greater China region and elevate FWTA to become the annual signature competition within the Asia Pacific.
